Yesterday when we where walking through a village and down yet another hill a women came out of her home and struck up a conversation with us as we walked together for a little while. In her halting English and Spanish she told us about an alternative coastal route that she had walked. It was less hilly, and more beautiful that the traditional route. This route started in the town we were staying in tonight and continued to the town we stay in the next night. So we decided to take this route.
In the morning we woke to light rain. We were expecting rain, but only later in the day. We found a cafe, and settled in for a while with a couple of coffees and cake. The rain subsided to a light drizzle and eventually disappeared completely. But we lost about an hour.
We walked on the coast all day, and in some cases on the beach.
The forecast is for rain for the next few days, and we have decided to have a rest day here in Vigo tomorrow.
