What a good morning for a walk, clear blue sky’s around 16c, with a light breeze. We left Zubiri around 8am, across the Roman bridge and alongside the Rio Arga for most of the day.

This bridge was built by the Romans

We are constantly reminded we are in Basque Country. The Basques have been seeking to seperate from both France and Spain. The Basque language may be the oldest spoken language.

A rare image of Joseph with baby Jesus.
The day was long and the temperature increased to 29c by the time we got to Pamplona.
On to Pamplona and “San Fermin” and the running of the bulls.
