This morning I felt great, had a good nights sleep. It’s very dark at night when there are no streetlights and very quiet when there are no neighbours. It was very humid last night and the storm clouds were building. The breakfast was plentiful and the owner made me a bocadillio to go.

I had decided to ship my pack on today as there was two hills at about 400-350 metres each. Still doing short days.
I left the accommodation at around 9am and at about 10am with a huge clap of thunder it bucketed down. I already had my poncho on, but quickly learnt it was not waterproof. Phone, passport etc were quickly sealed in plastic zip lock bags. There my phone stayed for the duration of the day. For about 2 hours it stormed, I found shelter under some bushes but that didn’t help much.

The walk was along country tracks and roads no goat tracks fortunately.

Saw other pilgrims in the same situation, one couple had an umbrella up but with the lightening I didn’t think that was very wise.

Two hills climbed, the first at about 300m and the second about 400m. Staying in the Albergue at the top of the second hill.
12km today.
