Only a short day today, I took it slow this morning and had a good breakfast and left the hotel at midday. Felt good to be walking, pace was good. The pack felt good.
I saw a few other pilgrims leaving around the same time, but didn’t get a chance to catch up with them.
It was quite humid and I soon got a sweat up. But the sun remained behind clouds all day.
The walk was all uphill but it was a steady incline and not too steep. I am in the foothills of a large mountain range that I need to cross in the next day or so. The Camino moves away from the coast and inland towards Santiago from here.
It is very rural and most of the walk was on country roads amongst small farms.
I am staying in large house, a Casa Rural, where the owners rent out rooms to pilgrims and provide communal meals.
