Our day is a short but hard day, after catching the ferry across to Pasajes de San Pedro we started a steep and strenuous journey up steps equivalent to about a 30 storey building. We had a rest at the top and then continued along a road that turned into a steep goat track and we continued to climb. The guide book underestimated the difficulty of this part of the Camino.

We got glimpses of the ocean along the track.

Not so many pilgrims along the Camino today, but a lot of day hikers as this track is also part of GR121, a popular hiking trail.

When we thought that there was nothing along the trail we came across a bakery run by a religious community that offered coffees (by donation), they had a large complex and were very hospitable. They also have properties around the world including Katoomba in Australia.

Eventually we made it to San Sebastián, city of sand, surf and pinxos.

After checking into our Pension, showering and having lunch we caught the hop on hop off bus and had look at the sights around the city.

Now we are having drinks and pinxos with the locals at a local bar, followed by walk on the sand at La Concha beach.
Wow that was a hard one
