We stayed in an upmarket hostel style accommodation last night where we had access to a kitchen, washing machine, lounge, dining room etc. So we stayed in with a little home cooking of Spaghetti, we also prepared our own breakfast before heading off this morning. The day was cloudy, but humid. The weather is changing, the heat waves have gone, and we can expect temps in the mid to high 20’s.
We knew today would be mostly uphill, short steep hills as we progress towards Porto over the next few days and few big ones.
We are still walking through areas burnt out by bushfires.
There was a variation of walking tracks today, including some not for people.
Religious iconography is a strong focus on Camino’s.
The last 2km of todays walk was straight up the hill into town, about a 200 meter gain over 2km. Tough going.
