The sun shone brightly today, it was a crystal clear sunny day. We had 21-23km or so to cover today.

We are a bit locked into a schedule as we are having our suitcases forwarded to each destination I have pre booked. As we are on an extended holiday that will also cover some of Northern Europe we have had to pack clothes to cover 4 seasons. Apart from our packs and hiking clothes/gear everything else is picked up everyday and forwarded to our next destination. So far everything has been waiting for us when we arrive.
Lots of hills today but nothing too severe. We seem to have moved out of the Eucalypt forest into forests of cork trees and olive groves and down country lanes.

As we walk through some of the towns we have noticed hand cranked water pumps, these are from bores in the local streets. The water is for anyone to use but its not tap water quality.

This time our destination is Rabacal, a small town where we have stayed before. But this time we are staying in an Albergue, many rooms have 8-10 bunks/room with shared bathrooms. We are fortunate to have only 3 beds in our room, and an ensuite bathroom. Oh did I mention it has a pool also.

Other pilgrims have been scarce, we spoke with one other on the trail today (from Leeds). We have had fleeting glimpses of others but have not caught up with them. However there is a flock of them (ok about 8) at the Albergue.

We hope to get going at sunrise tomorrow, it could be a long day with a big hill.
