Starting day in Sarria means that several hundred pilgrims are starting their Day 1. The minimum distance by foot to achieve a Compostela in Santiago de Compostela is 100km, Sarria is 113km from Santiago. You can tell them apart, clean shoes, clean clothes, clean backpack, no tan lines, they don’t smell! Some of them are even singing.

Today seemed to dog off the leash day. General rule for the Camino, if the dog is roaming free it probably won’t bite you (except those annoying little terriers). If it’s on a chain there is a Good reason it’s on a chain.
This one couldn’t care less about anything, it didn’t even move for cars.
