Another beautiful day, clear blue sky’s, Lowish temps and a cool breeze blowing across the Meseta.

Today was a 20km dead straight line along side the highway. Not much to see except wheat and hay fields, sunflowers and the occasional country town.

Our first break for the day, a very quiet little town

We took a little detour to this church, it was supposed to contain a unique version of Mary, but it was closed on Mondays.

As I sit here in the shade outside our hotel, relaxing, I think an answer to the big question is forming. I have been asked many times “Why I walk the Camino” I think it switches my reset button, when things are getting to much to handle. The Camino, naturally, creates a sense of camaraderie and tolerance. I feel at home here. I am able to shed, stress, concerns – and restore inner peace.
