Ok, well today was much better. The temperature reached around 22c, and we started out in a light fog that persisted as cloud cover until about midday. This makes walking much easier, less tiring. Breakfast was a spartan affair, coffees, yoghurt and half a cheese roll. But that was enough to get going. We had stocked up on water and fruit, and we still had some biscuits left over, so it would be ok. The first 11km, were through rolling hills and mountain sides until we reached Conimbriga, which has roman ruins, museum and coffee shop. It was a chance to have a coffee and change socks.
We had a few big hills today, but the cooler weather seemed to make these easier to climb.

There is more evidence that we are on the Camino, with more references to St James and Santiago de Compostela.

Tonight we are staying in a public Albergue, bunk beds, 4-6 to a room, shared bathroom ( yes just one), kitchen etc. we need to supply our own sheets, towels, etc. we arrived around 2pm, and made our own lunch from supplies we picked up at the supermarket across the road.

Tomorrow, Good Friday, is only 13km into Coimbra. But with one big mountain on our path.
